Day One MacOS Import Zip not Working

When I try importing a Zip file exported from Day One MacOS Desktop,
After selecting my exported Day One Zip File, nothing happens.
The entries are not imported, and Diarium does not seem to do anything.

Below are the details of the zip file.

Zip File Name:
Export - All Entries (2021-05-03).zip
Zip Contents:
Export - All Entries (2021-05-03).txt
photos (folder)

Txt Contents Sample:

	Date:	6 May 2013 at 14:12:59 SGT

The times are a changing.


	Date:	7 May 2013 at 10:43:58 SGT

Today, I worked on this and that.. 

	Date:	1 September 2013 at 17:31:48 SGT
	Weather:	29°C Rain
	Location:	20 Amber Road, Tanjong Katong, Singapore, Singapore

Diarium version: 2.7.8.0
OS + version: Windows 10

How exactly did you export the entries from Day One?
You need to use the menu option "File -> Export -> JSON". This creates a zip file which contains a .json file.
Diarium can not import any contents from a .txt file

timo The export was for a zip file. There is no option for JSON file.
This is for MacOS Desktop Day One.

I tried with the latest Day One version on my Mac and there is an option for JSON export in the menu path I described my last post.

halo! i encountered a similar problem, but i managed to export a .zip file to iCloud from Day One, and extracted it to become a .json file and a photos file, both in iCloud as well.
but the .json file is greyed out, and the photos in the photos file are all greyed out too.

please kindly advise as to how i should go about importing entries from Day One to Diarium.

You need to select the .zip file, not the .json
