I would appreciate it if the map could be selected by date (e.g. show me on the map all days from ... to)

Nice idea! You could bring up the map and see all the geo-tagged entries for a particular year.
Awesome. I have loads of location tags and would love to be able to see them all together on one map. Can't wait!
